HS ENTERPRISE LTD. (HSEL) was founded by Lt. Col. A.S. Helal Uddin psc (Retd) in 1981. Initially, it was a supplier of goods to defence forces and to various government and autonomous bodies. HS Enterprise Ltd. also made irrigation pumps and supplied them to Asian Development Bank Projects.

In 1983, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. offered HSEL the sale of HONDA motorcycles in built up condition. Gradually, Honda offered portable Generators and Mini Vans. In 1987, HS Enterprise Ltd. (HSEL) was granted license for assembly of motorcycles. Gradually HSEL became market leader of motorcycles and portable generators.

HSEL has its Motorcycle assembly line at Sreepur near Dhaka. It among is the best assembly lines for motorcycles in Bangladesh with Chassis welding, Engine assembling, Painting and testing facilities.

HSEL has developed an excellent network of retail outlets with motorcycles, spare parts and trained mechanics to provide good after-sales service for its products. HSEL owns over 51 showrooms all over the country in the name of EMMA Motors.

HSEL moved into assembly of Mini Trucks/Mini Vans in 1999. The plant is capable of assembly, paint and making bodies of 1500 vehicles annually. Its modern paint shop with heat treatment room is reputed to be the best in the country. This assembly line premises covers over ten acres of land, and has been established by technical assistance from Changan Automobile Co. Ltd., a major manufacturer of vehicles in China. The locally assembled dual fuel EMMA brand Human Haulers and Delivery Vans have earned fame as a workhouse, giving good payback to operators.

In late 2005, HSEL was awarded distributorship of Chery Automobiles in Bangladesh. Chery is gradually gaining popularity with its ranges of cars, SUVs, MPVs, available at affordable prices and backed by good quality, bumper to bumper warranty and good service backup.

EMMA Motors, a sister concern of HSEL has been established in 1997 to expand primarily into retail sale of motorcycle. Currently EMMA has 51 showrooms, selling famous brands as Piaggio, Jialing and EMMA.

Since 2003, HSEL has opened 10 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Stations with 06 conversion workshops. Natural gas being very economical, it is gaining popularity in Bangladesh. Every day our CNG Stations are providing alternative fuel to thousands of vehicles. HSEL also converts vehicles to CNG.

HS Agro Complex has started in mid 2008 with a resolve to provide quality fish and horticultural products. It is expected that this HSEL project will satisfy customers with excellent quality products at home and abroad in very short time.

HSEL providers job opportunity for over four hundred families. It is also trying hard to contribute to society. “Capt. Helal Education Trust”has been setup in Shunamganj District in 1997 chaired by the deputy commissioners and provides scholarships to over 300 students of the region. “Capt. Helal Vata” is provided monthly to 250 destitute freedom fighters of the liberation war in Shunamganj, Chattak, Doarabazar and Bashtala areas since 1998. A high school has been setup in Laxmipur and a college in Bangla Bazar in Chattak Upazilla.
